The Posi-flate control assembly meets NEMA 4, 4X, 7, 9 and 12 requirements. It consists of three major components – the solenoid valve, the central manifold and the seat sensor cartridge.
The solenoid is available in numerous electrical voltages and can be configured so that the Butterfly valve is normally open or normally closed. Clean, dry air at 80 to 115 PSIG is supplied to the solenoid air supply port.
The central manifold provides direct mounting to the actuator. The manifold contains a regulator which controls seat pressure and a gauge which reflects the actual seat pressure. The central manifold also has two normally plugged auxilary ports – actuator open and actuator close. These ports are used when two Valves are controlled by one manifold, or with various special control arrangements.
The final component is the seat sensor cartridge, which monitors the position of the actuator and automatically inflates or deflates the seat as required to make the valve function correctly.
